April Focus: Turn Complex Work Into Clear Next Steps

In February we clarified what belongs on the front burner. In March we aligned that work with your Genius. In April we focus on something essential: how to move a meaningful endeavor forward this week and the next week step by step.

Here’s the problem I see over and over: We can stall our most impactful work when we approach endeavors like climbing mountains.

Writing a book, preparing a presentation, conceiving a new offer or initiative, revamping a business model, shifting careers - each becomes “a mountain.”

This framing almost guarantees procrastination, avoidance, excuse-making, or flat-out stalling. If you already have a full schedule, where exactly are you going to schedule time to “climb a mountain”?

In this Wonder@Work Call, you can bring one important endeavor, initiative, or goal to advance. We’ll consider the psychology of focus and why the brain needs clearly defined steps phrased a certain way. We will look at how attention management more than time management determines traction.

I will share two signature tools you can test during the call. Then we will move into your questions and live laser coaching.

Bring questions about...
  • - advancing a book or other complex endeavor,
  • - taking your team through an initiative,
  • - shaping a keynote,
  • - refining your business model,
  • - restructuring an offer, or
  • - re-entering an endeavor that has stalled.

You will leave with clarity around next actions, scheduled time to complete them, and a new mental model.
